Saturday outing

Today I went to an art gallery that had paintings that were done by animals from the zoo. The elephants showed a great sense of stroke while the orangutan was quite proficient with the paint pens. It was really pretty neat and the proceeds that came from the sales were put towards a zookeepers' conference that is happening later this year. I was told about it by a woman I am seeing and we had a good time. By good fortune, one of the zookeepers from Woodland Park Zoo happened to come in while we were there and he gave us a very detailed explanation for how the exhibit came to be. Very informative. And not a bad way to spend a Saturday. I did wonder what the gallery thought about being located right next to a gentleman's club. Two completely different clienteles I suppose.

TGIF?

Another day, another afternoon of procrastinating. Why do I do that? Why do I ask rhetorical questions on a blog? At least there was some good news today, a note from the talent agent I met with on Wednesday saying she would like me to join their agency. Now of course the money issue becomes more important as I'll need new pictures, probably some classes, etc. Still, it's another step in the right direction. Perhaps I can make a withdrawal from my bank (aka local casino). We shall see...

World's Worst Blogger

Well, I certainly haven't caught onto this yet. It's pretty stupid too seeing as I have all the time in the world to sit at the computer and write. I've been procrastinating something fierce these days, especially with my book which still sits in outline/rough draft mode. So let this be my day to change my ways and vow to write everyday, no matter how mundane or blah what I say is. This should not only encourage me to work harder on the book, but to also make me feel like I'm really doing something with all this time I have while being unemployed. Carpe Diem we'll say.
